Why we built Advirra for Canadian advisory practices

July 3, 2026 · canada · compliance · product

Most CRMs available to Canadian advisory practices were built for the US market first. They're good products — but every Canadian firm that adopts one inherits the same homework: where does client data actually live, what does the privacy officer tell the dealer, and how does a Quebec firm answer for Law 25 when the vendor has never heard of it?

We kept watching small firms carry that gap themselves, one exception request at a time. So we built Advirra the other way around.

Canada is the starting point, not an add-on

Advirra runs entirely in Canadian data centres. Client data doesn't leave the country — not for backups, not for support tooling, not for analytics. PIPEDA and Quebec's Law 25 shaped the design from the first table in the database, and GST/HST/QST are handled on every invoice without a workaround.

That single fact removes the longest, most awkward section of a dealer's due-diligence questionnaire before the conversation starts.

A household is not a row

Advisory books aren't lists of contacts. They're households: spouses, dependants, powers of attorney, executors, trusted contacts. Advirra models the household as the real unit of the practice, with KYC and suitability captured per person and a full audit trail on every change — who, what, and when. When your dealer asks, the answer is an export, not an archaeology project.

Your brand, carried all the way through

Firms spend years building a name clients trust. Advirra is white-label: your logo, colours, and email identity across the whole CRM. Your clients see your practice — we stay in the footer.

Onboarding is a person, not a wizard

Every firm that joins Advirra is onboarded by a human: we migrate your book from spreadsheets, Redtail, Wealthbox, or Maximizer, configure your intake forms and workflows, and stay reachable during business hours. The firms we're building for don't have an IT department, and they shouldn't need one.

Built fast, with the firms that use it

Advirra is young, and we treat that as an advantage: new capability ships weekly, and early customers have a direct line to what gets built next. If your practice needs an integration or a workflow we don't have yet, tell us — that's how the roadmap gets made.

If that sounds like the tool your practice has been waiting for, apply for access or book a walkthrough — a real person will get back to you within a business day.
